Introduction

Welcome to our site, this is the home for all those interested in the running of model Narrow Gauge trains of a suitable size and scale for use outdoors. The majority of our members run on tracks of 32mm or 45mm gauge (Gauge 0 and Gauge 1) and many operate with live steam locomotives.

The picture above is our 'Photo of the Week' which is regularly updated with pictures provided by our members. You can click here or on the picture to view an archive of previous photos. If you have a photograph that you would like to be considered for a 'Photo of the Week' please email it to webmaster@16mm.org.uk

Please take some time to browse around our site using the buttons to the left and check back again soon for regular updates.

Our Model of the Month for May 2013 features a unique 'Heritage' locomotive built by Bert Coules back in the 1980's. As Bert says "Red Dragon looks, and indeed is, a bit crude by today's standards.  But the designing and building process was (mostly) a real pleasure"

Click on the picture below to read about Bert's Double Fairlie in more detail.

The 'Model of the Month' page is open to all so if you have a model (not only locomotives) that you would like to be featured in a future month then please contact the Association Webmaster at webmaster@16mm.org.uk
