Ballast repair on the Millisons Wood slate quarry: with prototype loco "Triongl", named after its triangular 3 cylinder arrangement oscillating steam engine. The engine is entirely scratch built from bits lying around the workshop, as are the iron riveted steel skip wagons modelled in 7/8ths. Photo: Neil Timms.

Swords to Ploughshares:- the loco is a WW1 Deutz Benzollok as used by the German Army on trench railways, now hauling tipper wagons on the Birches Barn Light Railway. The loco was 3D printed, whilst the wagons were made many years ago using tinplate for the bodies and 'O' gauge rail for the frames. Photo: [...]
