‘SUTTON’ rumbles onto the lake bridge with a slow moving empty stock movement on the Sunnyfield Railway. This loco, from Essel Engineering, holds the highest mileage on our line as it is the ‘go-to’ loco when we want to relax in the garden, yet see something running. Often it has run for several hours without a pause. The driver has a never-ending mug of tea, courtesy of a Saltash sailor. After a major overhaul in 2013 along with a change in livery and a name it sports a new gearbox/motor, custom 15v battery pack and a change to chain drive to couple the axles. Photo: Paul Milner.
