The February mailing of SMT & Bulletin is scheduled for collection by Royal Mail from Warners Midlands in Bourne this coming Friday 12th February. The entire mailing to UK and overseas residents will be collected at the same time.
Mailing to UK residents is First Class, so packages will start to arrive from Saturday 13th. Royal Mail still experience difficulty due to Coronavirus. Further information of the mailing situation within the UK can be found here.
Mailing to overseas members is by Air Mail, but delivery times are still affected by the pandemic. Further information of the mailing situation from the UK to countries overseas can be found here.
SMT and Bulletin will be available on our Members Only web site from 09:00 on Saturday 13th November. If you haven’t received an invitation to activate your account on the site, or can’t find it, please email members.site@16mm.org.uk providing your surname, membership number and post code and we’ll send an invitation as soon as we can.
The package includes a personalised address carrier sheet which has your membership renewal information on the reverse. This reflects renewals and subscriptions up to midnight on 2nd February. If you renewed after this time the address carrier won’t reflect this, but if you did so online you’ll have received an email confirming payment, so please don’t be concerned. Queries regarding renewal status should be directed in the first instance to Warners Group Publications by email or by phone on 01778 392016 (outside the UK: +44 1778 392016). Lines are open 8 am – 6pm Monday to Friday and 9am – 5pm on Saturdays and UK Public Holidays.
We plan to delivery the May 2021 issues of SMT & Bulletin in a paper envelope which will be more widely recycled than the current transparent film. Your address will be printed on the envelope, which will remove the need for an address carrier sheet. If this change is successful, all future mailings will be in paper envelopes, so the use of address carrier sheets will cease, which will offset somewhat the additional cost of a fully recycleable enclosure.
Thanks to editors Gareth Jones (SMT) and Dave Gordon (Bulletin) for compiling their issues. Thanks also to Mike Riley for assembling the Annual Report included with this mailing. Finally, thanks to all the members who contributed to what I hope will be an enjoyable read.
Alan Regan, Chairman & Membership Secretary
