After the May edition of SMT went to press, I was informed by Greg, our current SMT editor, that due to increasing work and family commitments, that he was going to have to step down as SMT Editor. Reluctantly, I had to accept this and after one of our recent Board meetings, Jonathan Mead, who currently shares the editorial duties for Bulletin with Harry, said that he would be happy to take on the role and will be taking over this important role from the August edition of SMT. The great advantage of this is that Jonathan is already fully conversant with the design software we use. The Board of Directors would like to thank Greg for stepping up to take on the role and for bringing a fresh set of eyes to the magazine. We wish him well for the future. If you have any recently completed projects, big or small, I’m sure Jonathan would welcome an article to help inspire your fellow modellers.
This also leaves a vacancy for somebody to join the editorial team. This person will be able to work alongside Jonathan and Harry and learn from their experience and knowledge of the design software. Having a third member of the editorial team will help build resilience in case of sickness or holidays and enable a person to learn about editing and help their fellow members.
