Here is the result of my lockdown project; it’s a Smallbrook Studio “Sprite”, with a few modifications, including moving the cylinders out a few millimetres to increase the clearance for running on 45mm track.

I made up some basic steps to hide the piston rods, as they protrude from the front of the cylinders and added the reversing link. I used some couplings, vacuum pipes, lamp irons and lamps I had spare, and in the cab I stuck a bit of pipework and some small press studs for taps and the vacuum brake control.

It’s fun to drive as you use the reverser and regulator as they are intended. The G scale driver has to stand on a box!
