16mm modellers come in all shapes and sizes, and from all sorts of backgrounds. You can meet regularly with other group members.

Some members have their own indoor layouts, typically a terminus but sometimes a complete oval of track if they have sufficient space.

Many local area groups and individuals have demonstration layouts which they take to the 16mm Association National Garden Railway Show, model railway and model engineering exhibitions, as well as representing the Association at local shows and events.

All members are automatically covered by our public liability insurance for running at indoor events and garden meetings, subject to certain regulations regarding boiler construction and testing.
