An Annual Dinner was held on 15 December 2004, to celebrate the
200th anniversary of railway locomotion. The setting was an "Orient
Express" dining car with an "inside out" seating
plan. A 16mm train service was provided by Tim Roy and Steve Pickthall
down the centre connecting table. Savouries and other small starter
items were delivered at the beginning of the meal. A passenger
train was operated during the main course, both single and double-headed.
To round things off, a second goods train delivered chocolates
and other sweets at the end of the meal. An unusual but highly
enjoyable event at which to operate our 16mm trains!
