16mm Association Publications
16mm logo

The 16mm Association has three main publications: 16mm Today magazine, 16mm Exchange newsletter and the New Member’s Guide. These publications are available ONLY to our members.

August 2005 SMT cover

16mm Today is a full-colour magazine that is published every quarter, during the early part of May, August and November and the latter part of February. As well as being an inspirational read on all aspects of 16mm modelling, awaited with great anticipation by our members, it builds into a valuable reference to support your modelling activities.

The articles in 16mm Today are written by our members. We actively encourage our members to use our magazine to share their modelling experiences – see how to write an article for 16mm Today for guidance on how to do this.

The value of 16mm Today is enhanced by the 16mm index and by the availability of back number sales.

Traders and event organisers can place advertisements in 16mm Today – see how to place an advert in 16mm Today for more information, including our current advertising rates.

August 2005 Exchange cover

16mm Exchange is a quarterly newsletter published at the same time as 16mm Today.

It contains general Association information, details of future national events and dates and times of the many local area activities taking place for members around the country.

16mm Exchange also includes a lively letters section – 16mm Forum – and a free “Items for sale” and “Items wanted” service for the use of members.

The editor of 16mm Exchange is Ian Shields. Please e-mail Ian with details of any local area program, letter or advertisement for publication in 16mm Exchange.

Details of any national event should be e-mailed to our publicity officer Tez Pickthall publicity.officer@16mm.org.uk who will arrange for them to appear in our advertising in other magazines, on this website, and in 16mm Exchange as well.
